Last weekend we were given tickets (thanks Eric) to go to the annual San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo. Not only were we given just tickets to get in...they were amazing seats and a practically front row parking pass (a major plus)! My camera wasn't holding battery charge very well so I tried not to take too many pics. Avery LOVED the rodeo...it was so loud...but she didn't seem to mind. Her eyes were glued on the arena with the clowns, cowboys, horses and bulls!
After the rodeo, we went to the "fair grounds". It wasn't too crowded because it was SuperBowl day and lots of people were "doing football". We went to a Bird's of Prey show and it was so cool to see these awesome birds, but it was cut short (Avery got bored) because the bird trainer took a falcon out to show how it swoops and flys...but it flew up and away onto the AT&T Center dome and it wouldn't come down! HA....I actually felt sorry for the trainer becuase people started to leave the show (oh, like us) because we were waiting so long for the trainer calling his bird to come back.
This bird (I think eagle) was HUGE! It was brought out at the beginning and just sat there beside us the whole time...stretching it's wings then falling asleep.
This falcon was sat on David's hat on his head....it was so funny...but I couldn't get my camera out fast enough to snap a pic of the scene.
Besides the rodeo...it was perfect weather to get out doors anyway...what a memorable Sunday!
